Google vs. China
Google has decided to take on China. The search engine company has told the Chinese Government that it will no longer censor searches made in China. (And you thought the filter at school was tough!) Read the article about what this has led to. What are your thoughts about this censorship and what it will lead to?

i think that google should take on china because the government wants to shelter its people and not let them learn about the outside world and why china is a bad place to live. i think that google is going to have a tough time winning against china because of what china has done with youtube and just might go and completely block google and have a deal with other search engine companies.

if google were to take on china it would be a absolute fail. China is always inventing new things such as cars and technology

I think that Google should unsensor things going into China because Chinese people only see and hear about things that the government wants them to see. This is not always good, and could lead to isolation. With Google unsensored, Chines people will be able to find out what’s going on in the real world to a further extent.

Personally I don\’t like China, but for the Chinese government to block a helpful website to all? Preposterous and naive. Banning books in bad enough, now this?

i think this is a goos step. China should not censor what there people watch on line or what they want to learn about just because they disagree. People have the right to do what they and look at what they want

I think that google should take on China, just because it’s simply not fair for people in China to loose the most popular search engine because their government is afraid of their people finding out information. Google is a very helpful tool, and this is only holding back the Chinese.

I think its rediculous that china is trying to cencor what thier people can read and see how are they supposed to expand and learn more when they cant use half of the links on google. in my opinion google made the right decision to cut out china.
