We don’t live in a city. There are only about 6000 people in our town. Foresthill is in the foothills between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. Foresthill’s name comes from all of the trees. There is a lot of different wildlife. We have rabbits, squirrels, bears, coyotes, skunks, deer and mountain lions. Foresthill was founded in the 1800’s, and people used to make their living logging and mining gold. The Foresthill Bridge is the highest bridge in California, and the 3rd highest bridge in the United States. It is 730 feet tall and 2,428 feet long, and crosses the American River.
