Lexington (MA) Tournament Results

The Lakeland District Debate team reach the elimination rounds of the Lexington, MA Winter Invitational the weekend of January 14th. Seniors Jackie Maurno and Jason anton finished 23rd and and seniors Pam Johnson and Ben Faber finished 31st out of 110 varsity teams representing 45 schools and school districts from 12 states and the District of Columbia. Jackie and Jason were 5-2 in the preliminary debates with wins against Pace Academy (GA), Chattahoochee (GA), Calhoun (GA), Cathedral Prep (PA), Canton Central Catholic (OH), and Weston (MA). Ben and Pam were 4-3 in the preliminary rounds with wins against MCA (NY), Cathedral Prep (PA), Newburgh (NY), and Edgemont (NY). Juniors Joe Perotto and Joe Spanier, as well as sophomores Adam Dishaw and Taylor Roth, also finished with 4-3 records in the varsity division.

Novice debaters Andrew Bococsky and MacKenzie Carroll finished 24th of 50 teams. They obtained a 3-3 record with wins against Canton Central Catholic (OH), Georgetown Day (D.C.), and Edgemont (NY). Andrew was the tournament's 20th speaker out of 100 individual contestants.
