Stefan Bauschard

Mr. Stefan Bauschard started his service as Director of the Lakeland District Debate program in August of 2005. He moved here from Dallas, Texas, where he was Director of Debate at the St. Mark’s School of Texas.. Before he directed at St. Mark’s, he coached at Boston College (MA) and Cathedral Prep (PA). He is also currently the President of PlanetDebate.com, which is an instructional services website that Stefan co-founded with Harvard Debate. Stefan also serves on the editorial board of the National Federation of the Interscholastic Speech and Debate Association, as a researcher for the college Cross-Examination Debate Association Topic Committee, as co-editor of Wake Forest’s Debater’s Research Guide, and he is the Director of the National Debate Tournament scouting system. He spends most of his summer at the Wake Forest Debate Workshops, instructing students from around the US. Stefan lives in Peekskill with his wife and two year old son.

Mary Eickler

Mary Eickler teaches Sixth Grade English in the Middle School

Pete Kruppenbacher directed the District debate program from 1997-1999. He helps us out with numerous tournaments throughout the year.

Brian Manual

Brian Manual is a former college debater and a Senior who is pursuing a teaching degree at Clarion University in PA. He is travelling to a number of tournaments with us.

Greg Varley

Greg Varley directed the District debate program from 1982-1998. He is a member of the National Forensics League (NFL) Hall of Fame and is a "Key Coach" -- Emory University honor.
